Kim is so many things to me. Not only is she my business partner, she is my friend, my sister, my mom, my counselor, my husband, my designer, my photographer and my biggest fan. She is a crucial part of why I enjoy what I do so much. She pushes me to always do my best and do it with passion and panache. Kim is so full of new and sometimes crazy ideas, endlessly bringing excitement and adventure to our daily lives at the studio. You never know what she will come up with next. One of my favorite things is when she says "I have an idea" I know to just jump on for the ride and we always end up with something spectacular! Kim's true personality begins to ooze out when she is doing what she loves, playing with her children, sometimes I can't tell who's having more fun... and you will notice when she is shooting and she gets that little wiggle, you know she's into something good.
Being the boy in our business partnership this is hard for me to write. Lynn and I have worked together for over 10 years and I definitely spend more waking hours with her than anyone else... so how do you even sum that up.
Hmmmm.
She wears her heart on her sleeve and shoots with passion and compassion like I have never seen. She finds the beauty in small moments and loves life. She is always up for anything and if there was such a thing as a bucket list I think she has completed both yours and mine. From running marathons in NYC to Scuba Diving on the Great Barrier Reef to volunteering in Africa and at home to getting her motorcycle license and a bunch of tattoos. All this said I should have known this from the beginning, she went skydiving right before the first shoot we ever did together. She is passionate about her family and friends and is the one person that always brings us all together. She is the one person I cry with, laugh with and flake out occasionally with. The Studio or my life for that matter would not be the same without her constant support. I don't understand how anyone runs a business with their husband. We joke all the time that we would kill each other... trust me it is way easier to do it with an adopted wife!!!
Nothing says love quite like a friend calling you a bag lady, as I know it's all out of love. Really though, the purse is a must, even though it is a little bigger and a little heavier than most, I always have what you need. Even if it is in mini size... Dental floss? Got it... Band aid? Sure do! Advil? Yep. Maybe it is a little like a traveling pharmacy but I don’t hear anyone complaining when I have what they need! Next: the laptop bag, can’t have a laptop without the bag! Then of course the bag of lists... this is usually in the little red Lulu bag, it’s a perfect size and light, full of paper I hardly know it’s there! Then of course the variables... The Workout bag, depending on what sport I am doing that day, determines which bag I bring. The Getting ready bag, have to be able to get on with the day and still smell pretty and then of course the optional grocery bag... shopping bag...
My nerdy little Cole (who currently thinks he is the "animal whisperer") and little drama queen Kira who prefers her little pink Barbie camera to Canon or Nikon, are a constant source of smiles for me.

I have been married to Joel for the last 11 years and I can honestly say he is a visionary, so my part in all of it is to hang on and listen to all the latest HBS’s (Hair Brained Schemes) and run with it. We have grown together and have had a blast making plans far into the future.
- Good morning kisses from the kids
- Chai Latte’s
- Nerds of any kind
- Halloween
- Traveling with the fam and friends
– The smell of spring (as I don’t do winter well)
– Photo shoots that make me dance a little
– Seeing things through the kids eyes
– Sunday dinners all together
– Asking questions
- Any body of water – excluding sharks - I don’t do sharks
- Dancing anywhere, anytime(sorry friends, It’s true, I have no shame)
- Music even though I would come in last place in name that tune
- Learning and Teaching
- Wondering - I Wonder... a lot, about everything.
- Food... I love food

- The "post it" note... So I keep the "post it" note in business, what's so wrong with that?

- Multitasking... I dream to be the greatest Multi-tasker of all... if I am not doing at least four things at once; something isn’t right in the world. A good sign that I am having a great day is the paper trail that circles around me and sticky notes everywhere. As Kim calls it, "Lynn exploded today"

- Shooting, I can be having the worst day but for some reason once I start shooting, everything else goes away...

- Family and friends

- Laughing till it hurts, face or tummy, either one is equally good

- Hoar Frost... makes my heart skip a beat

- Great wine... I love wine

- COFFEE

- Snuggles

- Traveling and exploring the world, I'm always looking to find ways to get another stamp in my passport

- Volunteering

- Running in the River Valley in the fall... that crisp fresh air doesn't let you think about anything/nothing else

- Concerts, music and movies

- Meditation... it's so important to find balance in such a crazy world

- Passion – I just even like the word, hearing it charges me. I would tattoo it on my forehead if I could... to remind me always to follow my passion

- Sports... Ohhhh and so many sports...

So it's not that I do it on purpose. They just have to be roughly the same height and feel the same regardless of color or pattern. I guess it is my metaphor for life... It's never too perfect as that would stress me out, but as long as it feels right, do it. That's how I shoot, that's how I love to live.
